Just Chill Out on Nelson Agholor

Nelson Agholor is setting the NFL – and very possibly the entire world – on fire after a couple of good practices last week.

A lot of attention has circled Agholor after these good practices. The new Wide Receivers coach has lit a fire under his ass. He’s more focused. The 3rd year rule for wide receivers is coming into effect. His shitty stats are similar to Jordy Nelson and Demaryius Thomas in their first two season. Hit the brakes.

What about all the receivers that had bad first two seasons that never bounced back to have good careers? How come we never hear about those guys? This is Nelson Agholor we’re talking about. I would love nothing more than for him to have a successful season in 2017 with the Eagles, but it’s really hard to see after his first two years. He has had every opportunity to stand out with a lack of talent in the receiving game on the roster over the last two years, and he hasn’t been able to.

I’m glad he’s had a few good practices – that certainly can’t be a negative. I just want to pump the brakes on his expectations blowing up over the past week. Let’s hope he can continue to improve and contribute to this team in some manner this year because there isn’t a chance in hell Dorial Green-Beckham will.
